Protest Newspaper Coverage

This lesson examines how the media, specifically newspapers, report on race-related protests or riots. Students will examine how the media’s bias is reflected in headlines. They will also analyze newspaper articles from various publications to compare their coverage of the Roxbury riots in June 1967.
